.: Review| Blabbermouth
'Agoraphobia EP'
When I first found Blabbermouth's CD sitting on my desk, I found the
name intriguing, and kind of expected some sort of rock band... I
think I was a bit wrong!
Blabbermouth, aka Steve Thompson is something very modern and fresh.
This determined artist raises funds by busking album tracks on
London Bridge, although his career his definitely on the way up.
His first track 'Agoraphobia' is a pleasure to listen to, and is
difficult to fault. There isn't anything I would change anyway...
It reminds me every so slightly of Rob Thomas' slower solo tracks,
although Blabbermouth is just so easy to love. The tempo suits the
track, and the lyrics make you want to join in and be part of the
atmosphere he builds.
His second track 'Paris' is another masterpiece...Everyone needs his
tracks on their iPod; they are just so easy to chill out to.
Blabbermouth is for all occasions, and whilst this sounds like I am
advertising a magician or something, it is also true! His music can
play happily while you chill out at home, filling your mind with
something that just makes you relax like a floppy sock. One of my
friends often listens to her iPod to help her sleep, and I'm
definitely going to recommend Blabbermouth as something to zone out
to.
His final track 'My time machine' is another fine example, its pace
is soothing, and his vocals are just extraordinary. I can imagine
this man singing just about anything, and on a busy London bridge,
he would definitely make everything else in the world seem
unimportant.
