The Lost Boys...

‘Tiffany’s Man’

My god, what a track, I keep playing it; I think I have fallen in love.

I started to listen to this EP before I started writing, and before I knew it I had listened to it three times over and still hadn’t written anything. It’s catchy, cute and just a sweet story told with a dash of magic. The vocals are soft, perfectly pitched and just gorgeous. It is pure music, no shouting, or misread lyrics; it’s just what I need after a long day.

The guitar simply fits like a glove, with complimenting drums which make you want to dance! You easily start to sing along with each track, with ‘Simple mind’ upping the tempo and increasing the urge to dance! How are these guys not on the radio? In the magazines? And on your iPod? If I could, I’d sign these guys in a flash. They know how to write, how to play, and how to tell a story.

‘Simple mind’ has a great tempo, the vocals are quick to suit and works so well, ah, love love love it.

Their third track ‘Romance by Numbers’ makes me laugh, its sleek, its ‘top notch mate!’.  I really like the intro to this track; the keys add something different, as it leads into a whirlpool of fun, enthusiasm and happiness.  The lyrics hug tightly to the music, producing a track which is just damn right cool. It’s finger tapping brilliance for any lazy so-and-so who is pretending to do work at their computer, or you can go all out and have a bit of a dance around your office! (If you do, we would quite like to see pictures!).

As much as I love it, ‘Tiffany’s man’ just about steals it as my favourite track though…

Their last track I’m sad to see on the listings, I don’t want this to be the end… (Enters unhappy face). However, ‘I can’t tell the difference’ is a good way to finish this EP; it has a great beat and is a brilliant contrast to their first track. Which, by the way, did I mention that I love? Although, saying that… this is a very close call to make.

If you love music and want to hear something fresh and original, check these guys out and you will thank me for it… on Myspace baby!
